# Upgrading to AG Grid 36.3

Set Filter Persistent Selection, Calculated Columns Improvements, High-Contrast/Forced Color Mode Support, Accessibility Improvements, Performance Improvements

## What's New

AG Grid 36.3 adds important new features - [Set Filter Persistent Selection](https://www.ag-grid.com/javascript-data-grid/filter-set-data-updates/#preserving-previous-values), [Calculated Columns Improvements](https://www.ag-grid.com/javascript-data-grid/calculated-columns/), High-Contrast/Forced Color Mode Support, [Accessibility Improvements](https://www.ag-grid.com/javascript-data-grid/accessibility/), Performance Improvements. These improvements involve no breaking changes as listed below.

## Breaking Changes

There are no breaking changes in AG Grid version 36.3.

## Behaviour Changes

There are no behaviour changes in AG Grid version 36.3.

## Removal of Deprecated APIs

There are no deprecated API removals in AG Grid version 36.3.

## Deprecations

The following grid option (`GridOptions`) remains supported, but the replacement below is recommended:

| Deprecated | Replacement |
| --- | --- |
| `debug` | `enableDevValidations({ debug: true })` |

The replacement applies to all grids on the page rather than a single grid. See [Debug Logging](https://www.ag-grid.com/javascript-data-grid/dev-validation/#debug-logging).

The following event remains supported and continues to fire, but the replacement below is recommended:

| `calculatedColumnExpressionChanged` | `calculatedColumnChanged`, checking `event.changes.calculatedExpression` |

Each locale in `@ag-grid-community/locale` is now exported under its full BCP47 tag, for example `AG_GRID_LOCALE_DA_DK` for `da-DK`. The following region-only exports remain supported, but the replacements below are recommended. See [Provided Locales](https://www.ag-grid.com/javascript-data-grid/localisation/#provided-locales).
